Everly is an expressive little girl. From the minute she was born she has been her own person. Looking at her you can’t help but think she has such an old soul. Throughout her first year I captured her newborn, 4 month, 9 month and 1 year portraits! Everly’s mom and I came up with a theme for her portraits that we carried throughout the year. They are perfect for her personality!
When Tara suggested a teepee, my first thought “great, now I have to figure out how to make a teepee” but I think it turned out pretty good! I came across the doily hoops in my closet the day before the session and knew I had to include them!
Everly is so sweet with her littler hands. She really knows how to work them!
“In between” portraits. I love Everly’s hands in the right image, reminds me of the emoji – cracks me up every time I see it.
4 Months and One Year, quite the difference. I can never believe how fast time goes by.
Sometimes after a successful portraits session you need to throw on a little “Burning Man” by Dierks and have a dance party! Although I LOVE Dierks – this was Everly’s favourite and had nothing to do with me. Can’t say I minded!

Aubrey | Niagara Newborn Photographer
This blog post is LONG overdue, but here it is non-the-less.
Walking into Aubrey’s session I was a little anxious, at almost 2 weeks over due and a week old, the chances of a co-operating baby were not great. But I was pleasantly surprised – she was SO good to me. Letting me pose her hands into the cutest little positions and being so patient with her big sister. 9 pounds and a home birth, this mama is amazing!
Because seriously… how doesn’t love little baby bits!
One of the benefits of going to my clients home for newborn portraits is that I always have something new to work with. I have been LOVING nursery portraits lately. You can see just how small Aubrey is in this photograph.
Aubrey’s dad made this teepee for big sister Amelia. Needless to say I’m a little bit jealous! I would have loved to have a teepee in my room when I was growing up, imagine the adventures these two girls will have in here.
Amelia is going to be such a great big sister.
Such a sweet little family. I love meeting my clients during their maternity portraits and watching their family go from three to four. Wishing them all the happiness (and sleep!) in the world.
