Everly was in the studio for her 4 month portraits as part of her Baby’s First Year package. We waited a little longer for these ones because this girl is a little cranky.. I mean, colic. I was so nervous about this session, Everly cries, all. the. time. so I was worried that we wouldn’t get any portraits of her smiling, or even just looking at the camera. BUT SHE DID AMAZING! AND I captured her laughing for the first time EVER. So cool! I am in LOVE with these photographs. So simple. SO MUCH HAPPINESS IN ONE PHOTOGRAPH!
EVERLY. COME ON. That squinty, scrunchy pure happiness face. SO ADORABLE. There is just something about her face in this photograph, so much wonder. Oh, the many faces of Ev!
When I’m culling through photographs from a session for the first time I never know what I’m going to come across in the next photo – closed eyes, funny faces – sometimes I get a good chuckle out of them. But this photograph of Everly had me snorting. She went from happy to angry in about one second. I wish I could get this photograph at every 3 month session! Sleeping babies are the best! After a brief nap, Everly was ready for round two! These were the only photographs that Mama wanted to do.
These high school sweethearts are getting married! Rob & Melissa started the session a little uncomfortable in front of the camera, but it made for some super adorable candid shots. It didn’t take them long to become pros – that’s one of the main reasons I include a complimentary engagement session with every wedding package. It gives us a chance to get to know each other before the big day and for the Bride & Groom to get comfortable in front of the camera. These two are way too sweet.
These two rocked their session! I can’t wait to celebrate your love in September!
Happy Mother’s Day to all you Mama’s out there! In honour of Mother’s Day here are a couple portraits from Danielle’s Mini Session by the lake. Dave and I can’t wait to meet the newest addition to the family!
Can I just say that Jenn & Mike ROCKED their engagement session?! I had so much fun photographing these two. They were definitely troopers wading through the tall grass and patiently sitting in it. One of my favourite images from the session. It’s clear that Jenn and Mike are so in love, I love this image. Making small talk, while photographing Jenn’s gorgeous ring, I mentioned that I heard something moving in the woods beside us. I was definitely not expecting Mike’s response to be “It’s a deer”. There wasn’t just one deer, but three, 20 feet from us. So obviously I had to stop and snap a few photographs! Initially Jenn said “nothing to flowery” when we were discussing a location for the session, but I’m glad she changed her mind because I love spring in Niagara! The blooming trees are gorgeous, they get me every time.
Jenn and I have been friends since high school and I am honoured that they chose me to photograph their wedding. I can’t wait!
One year ago this handsome little man came into the world and I can’t imagine my life without him. I’m one proud Auntie! It was one of those sessions where everything worked out; the trees were perfect, Hunter was a willing model and the sun was shining. I couldn’t ask for anything better. I can’t get enough of this stinker grin. Someone is up to no good, just like his Daddy! Hunter is such a happy boy, always smiling and laughing.
Auntie loves you little man xo
It was one of those perfectly days where everything just comes together.
Driving home from Hamilton a few weeks ago I took a back road and was inspired by all the beautiful wildflowers and the beautiful sky. I picked some flowers (thanks for the swiss army knife in my car Dad!) and raced home to pick up my niece (and throw her in a dress that I was waiting to give her.) I threw the crown together and half an hour later we were on our way! Eliza loved her special flower crown. These two silly photos are my favourite! I printed the one on the right in a 16×20 and framed it. It’s GORGEOUS – print your photographs people, there’s nothing better!
After the flower portraits we headed to the beach for my second wave (ha!) of inspiration. I was hoping that it would downpour (as it had been off and on for my whole drive home) and I wanted to capture the stormy beach in these portraits. It didn’t rain and Eliza refused to standing the water and get her dress wet, but I love how these ones turned out anyways. I was hoping to get a few more variations, however Eliza fell into the water before I could continue. She was not pleased, ahhh, memories.
I have photographed Eliza every Spring and Fall since she was born, I love how this life series is coming together. I just love this girl so much! She is such a little lady, way too mature of her age. So loving and smart. I could go on and on. I’m one proud Auntie. I hope one day she reads this and knows how much I love her.
On a perfect, warm sunny spring day. Seven families came to have their portraits captured during my Spring Mini Sessions. New clients, returning clients, I adore all of these families so much. I had a lot of fun photographing everyone and I hope that they did too!
Okay, seriously. This girl. Adorable.
Ashton is turning two soon and I’ve been here since the beginning. I get so attached to the families that come back and allow me to watch them grow. They’re part of the Liz Czinege Photography family and they hold a special place in my heart.
Addison is the sweetest little girl. She LOVED being in front of the camera, so perfect!
Ahh, Miss Alexis. Back in front of my camera again. I love this kid. Her mom started out as one of my brides and now we’re best friends. Those are my favourite kind of clients. #WhenClientsBecomeFriends Mr. Weston was a little shy at first and wanted nothing to do with me or my camera. But after a little bit of convincing that I’m actually nice, we got some great portraits! Eira has turned one!! She is always so serious in front of my camera, but as soon as I put it away she’s as giggly as can be! I’m glad that I was able to capture some of her gorgeous smiles.
Best friends. These two melted my heart! Such a beautiful family!
We finally captured some smiles on Scarlett! She is such a cutie!
I met with Elizabeth and Wesley back in January to book their maternity and newborn portraits. The time has gone by so quickly, in a few short weeks they will be meeting their baby! I can’t wait to meet their new addition – and check out all of the great work working that Wesley has done for their baby!
The hair and makeup ladies did a marvellous job enhancing Elizabeth’s glow! She was stunning for her portraits! I love these two, they were so happy during their session. Especially Wesley – it’s so rare for the men to be interested in the session. I definitely take advantage when I can!! This may be one of my all time favourite portraits. How perfect is this dress. Plus the lighting – ah, I’ve been waiting all winter for a session like this. Mother nature was so good to us.
I can’t wait to see you two in a few weeks!! Till then. xo
Last week I took my niece out to capture her Spring portraits. I’m so lucky that she loves having her portrait taken – always a willing subject! Is there anything cuter then little kid feet? I have taken portraits of Eliza every Spring and Fall since she was born. It’s so nice to have these portraits documenting her growth, and the growth of my photography as well!
It is such an honor to spend time with Deanna&Matty, being a photographer herself it means a lot that she would choose me to photograph her family.
I met Deanna when I was a student at Lakeshore. She was both teacher&mentor for my senior years – and also a professional photographer. Unsure of what I wanted to do with my life, I took a range of subjects – science, math, arts – I kept my options open.
Some members of my family looked down on becoming a photographer and tried to convince me to get a more reliable career, one that you could make a million dollars doing. At one point I even thought of becoming a nurse – they almost got to me! In my heart there was that nagging feeling that I wouldn’t be happy unless I had a camera in my hand. Newborn&kids were my passion and I knew that photography was what I wanted to be doing.
Money isn’t everything. Yes you need money to survive, but being happy is the most important thing in life. This hasn’t been an easy trip – and I still have a long way to go – but luckily there are people in my life who support me and believe in what I’m doing. I couldn’t do it without them. I am so glad that I didn’t listen to those people telling me I couldn’t do it. Every day I push myself to become better; a better photographer, a better person and I do it to show those people that I can.
Deanna is one of those teachers who truly care about their students. It was Deanna that gave me the push I needed to follow my dreams – and assured me that yes, I could make a living as a photographer – with a lot of hard work! In the face of all those negative voices telling me I couldn’t do it, Deanna gave me the confidence&support to follow my dreams and I am forever grateful.
