Monica | Niagara Maternity Photographer

I met Monica and Holden when I put out a model call for a maternity session. I fell in love with them immediately. (But it definitely helped when they offered me a caesar after Naomi’s newborn session. Uhmmm, yes please!)

I was a little bummed about doing their maternity session in the winter. So cold and so much white. But this spot was perfect and it was snowing the perfect amount! Monica was a trooper in that dress, don’t let her fool you – IT WAS COLD! I can’t believe she made it through the entire session. The snow though, honestly perfect.  Is Monica a babe, or is she a babe. This dress was perfect for the session!  Summer bump and Winter Bump. I love how completely opposite Monica’s two maternity session are! (Check out her summer session, they’re too gorgeous not to share again!)

Caleb | Niagara Newborn Photographer

I can’t wait to deliver Caleb’s portraits to his Mom. They’re all packaged up and ready to go! I drove from Grimsby to Port Colborne is a snow storm for his session, and it was so worth it. He was a little sweetie during his session!
The little details are a must at every session. Parents can’t get enough! Caleb is definitely going to grow up a cowboy!  Mom requested that we use this saddle, obviously I couldn’t say no. (Don’t worry, he was being held the entire time!)

Savannah | Niagara Newborn Photographer

Savannah is the sweetest little thing. I couldn’t believe it when she slept through her entire session and barely even stirred!  Savannah’s was enjoying her session obviously, look at that smile!  Mom got this awesome headband to use for the session. I love the pop of colour against the pink blanket!  That pout though, so perfect!Little piggies.  Such a proud big brother. It was adorable seeing how big his smile was when he was holding his little sister.

Jonathan | Niagara Newborn Photographer

A couple years ago I photographed Jonathan’s older brother Anthony. I was so thrilled when his mama reached out to me again for baby #2! When photographing a sibling I always try to keep it similar so they go great together hanging on a wall, but also make them unique so the portraits are their own!  Jonathan looks so much like Anthony in this photograph!  And baby makes four!

Callum | Niagara Newborn Photographer

Callum is the newest addition to the Savage family. He has two of the best big sisters around! So much love for this little guy!  Little baby smirks. A gassy baby is a happy baby! Well, not really, but it does make for some nice portraits!  I just love these curly bum shots!  Callum was wide awake but quite content taking in the world.

Emma | Niagara Newborn Photographer

I’m a little behind on my blogging, due to the fact that I was working my butt off trying to get everyone their portraits before going to Punta Cana for my friends wedding! But now I’m back and rested and ready to blog!

Emma. Oh Emma. You are just perfect.  After multiple newborns who put up quite the fight, I was beginning to think that I’d lost my touch – it was time to retire my “Baby Whisperer” shirt – literally! But Emma slept through her entire session, stayed in every pose I put her in and didn’t fuss. She was exactly what I needed to get me out of my funk!
Emma has the softest, shiniest hair I have ever seen on a newborn. So gorgeous, I can’t get over it!  These portraits are completely different than my usual style, but I am in love with them. She looks so comfy in the bucket!

Ripley | Niagara Newborn Photographer

This little beauty didn’t want to sleep, but that’s okay! Parents always LOVE opened eyed portraits. And I don’t think there’s any doubt that she’s going to have blue eyes!  Contrary to popular belief, skinny babies have the most rolls!! #extraskin  Ripley rocked this pose! Gosh, isn’t her little features so precious?!  My mom hand stitched this quilt for me, I love that I was able to incorporate it into Ripley’s session!

Jamisyn | Toronto Newborn Photographer

Occasionally I get asked to do sessions outside of the Niagara Region, Jamisyn was SO worth the drive to Toronto!  She rocked every pose, in newborn terms – she didn’t move! Not to mention she is the sweetest little girl, I just wanted to keep snuggling her after her session was over. She’s got the most adorable little features.  It was refreshing photographing a girl after so many boys, but Jamisyn did not love having headbands on, it was the only time she stirred while I was posing her.
Mom didn’t want anything too girly, I think this is the perfect amount!
Parents always love these open eyed portraits. Jamisyn kept her hand perfectly posed! Jamisyn’s big sister had a newborn portrait hanging on the wall in a similar pose, so I couldn’t help myself, I had to recreate it!  Aren’t those cheeks perfectly squishable?!

Conan | Niagara Newborn Photographer

I’ve been waiting 8 months to do this session! Conan’s parents are good friends of mine, and I knew about him even before his Dad did. One of the perks of being a photographer who photographs pregnancy announcements!! Conan is just as sweet as can be. He was more interested in eating than being a part of this session, but that’s okay. Typically I don’t love wrapped shots because I prefer to see their sweet newborn skin, but they’re growing on me! They’re a great way to start the session when baby isn’t completely asleep yet.  That pout though – hands up if you just made a pouty face too! This was an in-between moment, which I usually wouldn’t photograph, but I loved the way his hair looked so long on his arm!   I LOVE this black and white image.  Conan ROCKED this pose! It was one of the only poses that his mom requested – and the hardest to get! Unless they are completely 100% asleep I won’t even attempt it. The final image looks completely different from the in camera images. It’s a composite of 2 different photographs put together, so baby is supported at all times.

I can’t wait to watch this little guy grow!

William | Niagara Newborn Photographer

On a snowy day in January I drove to Port Colborne to photograph William. When I arrived Mom and Dad had a fire going in the fireplace, it was nice and cozy for little William – and me! Is there anything better than a real wood fire?!! At 6 pounds and 19 inches, you would never know that he was born more than a month early.    That little tuff of hair. Too cute not to capture!  When I saw a bunch of buffalo plaid in the house I knew I had to incorporate it into William’s portraits.  This family is so sweet. I’m happy that Dad agreed to be in a couple portraits. William had some smiles for us too!
