Everly was in the studio for her 4 month portraits as part of her Baby’s First Year package. We waited a little longer for these ones because this girl is a little cranky.. I mean, colic. I was so nervous about this session, Everly cries, all. the. time. so I was worried that we wouldn’t get any portraits of her smiling, or even just looking at the camera. BUT SHE DID AMAZING! AND I captured her laughing for the first time EVER. So cool! I am in LOVE with these photographs. So simple. SO MUCH HAPPINESS IN ONE PHOTOGRAPH!
EVERLY. COME ON. That squinty, scrunchy pure happiness face. SO ADORABLE. There is just something about her face in this photograph, so much wonder. Oh, the many faces of Ev!
When I’m culling through photographs from a session for the first time I never know what I’m going to come across in the next photo – closed eyes, funny faces – sometimes I get a good chuckle out of them. But this photograph of Everly had me snorting. She went from happy to angry in about one second. I wish I could get this photograph at every 3 month session! Sleeping babies are the best! After a brief nap, Everly was ready for round two! These were the only photographs that Mama wanted to do.
Cole was in the studio for his 4 month portraits a few weeks ago as part of his first year package. He was FULL of smiles, especially when Grandma showed up!
He’s got the cutest little smirk! What a difference a couple of months makes!
See you in July little guy!
Everly, you met her a couple weeks ago when I blogged her birth session, now here is her newborn session!! I came back to do a couple more portraits because of unforeseen circumstances, but it was TOTALLY worth it! I love me some newborn smiles. Alexis is the BEST big sister! I got this portrait without any Photoshop! 3 dogs, a 4 year old and a newborn all co-operating, it was a miracle!! Squishy snuggles.
Safe in Daddies arms.
The votes have been counted – and double counted – and the winner is in! Congratulations to this little Ghostbuster, Chase! It was a very close race this year with the runner up only 9 votes behind. Thank you to everyone who came out to the mini sessions and participated in the costume contest, it’s been another great year!
Here are some more of Chase’s portraits. I love his face in this photograph. So sweet!
Lucas is one! This guy had so many smiles for me and kept me on my toes – he’s on the move!! We headed outside to get a couple fall portraits before we let Lucas dive into his cake. The colours were perfect! I love the drool in this photograph, doesn’t that cake look delicious! Lucas wasn’t too sure about his cake. He didn’t like the taste but still kept going back for more. I always love capturing this post cake detail shot. Those toes get me every time.
Thanks for checking out this year’s costume contest!

Happy Halloween from Liz Czinege Photography – and good luck!
My friend made a tiny human! A couple of years ago I was in their wedding party, now here I am photographing their little guy. Alex is such a sweet boy, I love him to bits already. We had to keep his diaper on for the session, which made for some unique images that are completely out of my comfort zone – and I LOVE THEM. So snuggly all wrapped up. Did this photo make you yawn? The wall in their home matched this set up perfectly. Congrats you two, I couldn’t be happier for you!!
What’s better than one baby? TWO! Amelia and Stella were my first ever twins. They both rocked their session. I was shocked that the part I was most concerned about (posing two babies at the same time!) turned out to be the easiest poses of the day. They did not want to be alone for their individual poses.
We cut off their hospital bracelets after I arrived and I was telling them apart by the acne on their faces. (Plus Stella’s skin was a little more pink and Amelia’s a little more olive.) Hopefully Mom and Dad are having an easy time telling them apart still!
Amelia, Stella, Stella left, Amelia right. So excited I got to use this headband set! They look so sweet on the girls wrapped in the lace. It’s up for debate whether these two are identical or not, what are your thoughts? At one point Stella (left) was fussing, Amelia threw her arm across Stella and she almost instantaneously stopped fussing. Twins amaze me! Two babes in a basket, the blanket they’re laying on was made by their grandmother.
Such a beautiful family. I’m so happy Mom suggested that we do the family portraits in her room!
I can’t say enough about Tiana, she was just P-E-R-F-E-C-T! She slept for the entire session and stayed exactly how I placed her. I drove all the way to Ajax to capture her newborn portraits and she definitely made it worth the trip! After a VERY long stretch of boys it was a refreshing change to be able to get a little girly with this newborn session. Plus did I mention how adorable she is?!
Oh man, those lips! Just perfect! Mom was a little worried when I got there because Tiana still had her umbilical cord clip on, but we did our best to hide it. Doesn’t she just look like a little peanut in these photographs? Fingers and toes, my favourite! My babies have been NAILING these shots lately (the two above and one below). I find these are the hardest poses to get them into, and either the baby likes it or not, no negotiation. I saved my favourite photo for last.
Isabella turned three recently and we celebrated with her eighth portrait session! I am so honoured that I have had the opportunity to document her growth. It’s been so fun seeing her personally change and develop through her portraits. She was SO silly for these portraits, and I love it! This face is the cutest! See you next year Isabella!
