Anthony gave me Baby Fever baaaaaaaad. And no wonder, with gorgeous parents like his, he was bound to be handsome! His Mom won this session during my 12 Days of Giveaways and I am so happy she used it to capture his newborn portraits.

Lily loves her little brother, but she was a little reluctant to join in the portraits – that is unless she was allowed to give him kisses! She’s such a sweetheart I could just lay and cuddle with her all day. When I walked into Laura and Steve’s home I fell in love with their huge barn door (made by Steve!) and I knew I had to incorporate it into Anthony’s portraits – that did not disappoint! If you follow my photography, then you know that this ‘bum up’ pose is my favourite. I do it during all of my newborn sessions, maybe it’s getting old, but parents always love the rolls! Meet the Steelers and Jays newest fan! Dad wanted to incorporate his first baseball glove into Anthony’s portraits, I couldn’t say no.

Sawyer | Niagara Pet Photographer

czinege-photography-niagara-pet-01 Nobody ever said newborn portraits are just for humans right? I had the pleasure of photographing my best friend’s newest addition – 9 week old Sawyer. He is a GORGEOUS Chocolate Lab/Border Collie Mix. I couldn’t wait to take these portraits and meet Sawyer. We definitely got some cuddles in after the session!

Brianna & Keith | Niagara Couple Photographer

liz czinege couple engagement photographer02 Brianna, of Hillier Photography, is based out of Waterloo, Ontario. We got in touch via Facebook – one way or another, you know how those things happen – and we realized that we both attended Fanshawe College (Brianna a year ahead) and we had never met! We’ve been chatting, making plans to work alongside each other, but when Brianna asked me to capture some new head shots for her I was immediately nervous! It is a huge compliment when a fellow photographer asks you to photograph them, but it is 100% completely nerve-wracking! Dan&Danielle | Niagara Engagement Photographer

Meet Dan and Danielle (Yes, yes, they know! Daniel and Danielle. Ha Ha.) Or as I affectionately like to call them, Dan² (Dan-Squared).

Danielle and Dan met exactly two years before their engagement session. Dan was born in Poland. He speaks Polish and plays the accordion – an instant hit with Danielle’s mom. Not to mention he is caring, funny and cleans up after himself, everything you want in a man. (Plus.. wait until you see the ring!) Danielle could not have found anyone more perfect for her. The more time I spend with them, the more I see how perfect they are for each other.

Dan² started dating around the same time that I start dating Danielle’s brother (where’s my ring?!) I was honoured when they asked me to photograph their wedding and I’m so excited! I’ve gotten to know Dan² over the past few years, but over the last few months I’ve gotten to spend a lot more time with them. We get along really well, mostly because they get my sense of humour. I would be more than happy to one day add these two to my family. liz_czinege_photography_niagara_hamilton_engagement_wedding08 How beautiful are their babies going to be – I can’t wait to become an (almost) Aunt again!
You’ll see these two again when I photograph their October wedding, it’s going to be a fun day! I honestly can not wait to see these two get married!

Paul&Laura | 19 Years | Niagara Family Photographer

A few weeks ago I photographed my brother and sister-in-law. Growing up Laura was like the sister I never had and it’s safe to say I can’t imagine my life without her. But really, when they started dating I was 18 months old, I actually can’t remember my life without her, but I wouldn’t want it any other way!

This is the part where I should talk about the wedding, and how nice it was to see my brother marry his high school sweetheart. But I can’t tell you that story, because I wasn’t there, no one was, except the maid-of-honor&best man. To this day I actually have no idea who’s names are on their wedding certificate, or when their anniversary is. But I love them all the same.

I’m so happy that we finally got a chance to do photos, I hope you guys have many more years of love&happiness.

Jessy&Kyle|Engaged

While we were driving between locations Jessy told me about Kyle and herself. The story gave me goosebumps!

They met at curling when they were 15 years old. Jessy told me she knew right away that she liked him because “He was the first guy that I was every shy around, and I’m not a shy person!” A few months later Kyle asked Jessy to be his girlfriend in a game of hangman, love it!

The story of the proposal is always my favourite part of the engagement sessions.
Kyle had been waiting in Jessy’s dark bedroom for her to get home from work. Jessy’s brother was out of the house, and he’d snuck into their house and worked out his game plan. Finally his plan was in place; he’d thrown a sock in the entrance way and boxers on the stairs, along with various other items of clothing. He’d made a trail for Jessy to follow, up the stairs and into the bedroom where he was waiting on one knee. He heard the key turn in the door.

After a long day at work Jessy wanted nothing more then a hot bubble bath. She got home and started talking to her cats, in a way that any cat lover would talk to their “children”. But her loving talk quickly turned into anger when she found the clothes thrown away. She thought it was her cats that had gotten into the laundry and thrown the clothes around. She walked upstairs in the dark, not bothering to turn any lights on. When she went into her room and found a man in the dark she screamed and ran into the hallway. It took her a few minutes to realize that it was Kyle, at which point she screamed “He’s on one knee!” and the rest is history!

After their engagement they moved to Alberta but are coming back to the Niagara Region to get married. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in October 2013!

Katie | Niagara Maternity Photographer

November 2011 (A little late I know.!)
I’ve known Katie for a few years now. When we worked together at Sherkston Shores, she talked of Dave and their dog Shelley frequently. I remember her telling me the story of how she and Dave met (and her subsequently moving across the world to be with him), it gave me goosebumps.
They’d been together forever it seemed, so when she came into work and said “Guess what!” I immediately thought that she was pregnant, but all things in good time. Dave had proposed (such a cute proposal too, love his style!), they got married in Australia and a few months later she told me that she was pregnant, a girl, so exciting! She always wanted a little red -haired girl named Julia!

These two are the sweetest people you will ever meet, and will undoubtedly make amazing parents! Congrats you two!

Kerri&Ryan|Engaged

I met my best friend Carlie 17 years ago, growing up together I got to know her sister Kerri. She was like the sister I never had. I was so happy when I learnt that she got engaged to Ryan. When Kerri asked me to do her engagement photos and photograph her wedding in September I was so excited!

In May, we had the special opportunity to go beyond the gates of Point Abino and photograph on one of the estates, it is such a beautiful community. I love the photos that I captured of these two, they’re so in love!

Serena&Luke|Destination Wedding

Two years ago, November, 2010, my cousin Serena, asked me if I would take her engagement photos. Of course I said yes! I was still attending college at the time and this was to be my first ever engagement session, I was so excited!

A few months later she asked if I would be the photographer for her destination wedding in Jamaica! Of course I said yes; I get to photograph my cousin on her big day and spend a week in the sun surrounded by family, who could say no??

The day finally came and Serena&Luke, accompanied by 45 guests, arrived at Gran Bahia Principe Resort in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. The weather that week could not have been better; hot and sunny! The resort was gorgeous, but some might argue that more importantly, it had thee best Jerk Chicken!

During the week I had the chance to get to know Luke and his family a little better. Luke is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met; polite, well raised. (Is that still something people say?). His parents are incredibly kind, my cousin is a very lucky girl.

I couldn’t wait to photograph Serena and Luke. Every where they went the Jamaicans called them colouring books because of the amount of tattoos they have. I knew that these were not going to be your typical photos, I couldn’t wait to get some unique shots! The day of the wedding we woke up to a cloudy sky, but by 4pm the sky was clear and it was a perfect day for a wedding. A beautiful day with beautiful people.

The maids decorated the room for the occasion. It was gorgeous, flowers completely covered the bed.

I was able to slip away from the girls for a few minutes while they are getting dressed to spend time with the guys before the wedding. I love how casual these photos turned out, the guys were so laid-back!
