This post never made it out of my drafts. And since I’m catching up on all my blog posts, I thought I would share this one as well!
Brothers, always there to bonk ya on the head with a balloon.
It’s safe to say Nathan hated his cake, as delicious as it looked! Maple was more than happy to step up and help her brother. 
This little cutie turned two this week. And when I went to look for the blog post to share, I realized that I never posted one – WHICH IS CRAZY! – because I loved every single one of the images from this session. So, I decided it’s never too late to share my favourite images from Naomi’s first birthday.
Mama had some amazing ideas for Naomi’s session. Together, we put our heads together and made it a reality! 
When mom and dad are this gorgeous, it’s no wonder Naomi is so beautiful!
I loved this simple cake setup. Just enough of everything to not take away from the girl of the hour! I usually find that extravagant set-ups end up taking the attention away from the child that’s in the portrait. 
These two are way too much fun! I’ve photographed their maternity portraits, Naomi’s newborn portraits and Naomi’s first birthday and Monica and Holden never disappoint! I’m also pretty sure that I’ve been handed a bevy every time I’ve walked into their home. #BonusPoints
After getting messy with the cake, a little clean up was required. (Mostly for mom and dad, since Naomi was probably the cleanest baby post-cake smash that I have ever seen.)
Parker was my second Birthday session last week. For a sick babe with some serious jet jag he did great! We got a lot of serious shot, but we also managed to get some of his gorgeous smile! I secretly love the serious ones better.. shhhhh… don’t tell mom! hehehe look at him though!
I’m a sucker for eyelash shots. 
There’s the smile that everyone loves! So handsome! And that outfit?! Good choice mom! 
Lets just say.. Parker did not enjoy his cake smash. And I do not feel guilty about capturing this photograph. 
One year has come to a close. I’m always at a lose when it comes to talking about the last session in my Baby’s First Year package. It’s bittersweet, I love watching my little clients grow and reach new milestones! After each session with Isabella I didn’t think she could get any more adorable – but she did! – her smiles is so contagious! 
Dad was able to make it to Isabella’s last session and she had nothing but smiles for him – usually she’s VERY serious.
I’m a sucker for those big brown eyes! 
Isabella’s realization that she could eat the cake was hilarious. She kept looking at her parents to see if they were going to say anything – while simultaneously shoving handfuls of cake in her mouth. 
I love these two photographs, just completely covered in cake. So much fun!!
