Conan | Niagara Newborn Photographer

I’ve been waiting 8 months to do this session! Conan’s parents are good friends of mine, and I knew about him even before his Dad did. One of the perks of being a photographer who photographs pregnancy announcements!! Conan is just as sweet as can be. He was more interested in eating than being a part of this session, but that’s okay. Typically I don’t love wrapped shots because I prefer to see their sweet newborn skin, but they’re growing on me! They’re a great way to start the session when baby isn’t completely asleep yet.  That pout though – hands up if you just made a pouty face too! This was an in-between moment, which I usually wouldn’t photograph, but I loved the way his hair looked so long on his arm!   I LOVE this black and white image.  Conan ROCKED this pose! It was one of the only poses that his mom requested – and the hardest to get! Unless they are completely 100% asleep I won’t even attempt it. The final image looks completely different from the in camera images. It’s a composite of 2 different photographs put together, so baby is supported at all times.

I can’t wait to watch this little guy grow!

William | Niagara Newborn Photographer

On a snowy day in January I drove to Port Colborne to photograph William. When I arrived Mom and Dad had a fire going in the fireplace, it was nice and cozy for little William – and me! Is there anything better than a real wood fire?!! At 6 pounds and 19 inches, you would never know that he was born more than a month early.    That little tuff of hair. Too cute not to capture!  When I saw a bunch of buffalo plaid in the house I knew I had to incorporate it into William’s portraits.  This family is so sweet. I’m happy that Dad agreed to be in a couple portraits. William had some smiles for us too!

Isaac | Niagara Newborn Photographer

Isaac arrived early and was already a month old when I captured his portraits. He was still as sleepy as ever though! We even managed to get some great open eyed portraits – and smiles!  I love capturing all their little details.  Wide-eyed and content.  Isaac posed himself, he’s a professional already! I love this colour green with his red hair, goes together perfectly!

River | Niagara Newborn Photographer

Little River was full of smiles and put up quite the fight. But we got the sweetest open eyed portraits of this handsome little man.  I loved taking portraits of River and his big sister. She loves her little brother so much! Bright eyed and adorable.  I am so amused by these portraits. River decided to poop – without a diaper – mid pose. Priceless!

I’m so happy for this beautiful family. I can’t wait to see them again.

Cole | Niagara Child Photographer

Cole is ONE! Wow. What a year it has been. It seems like yesterday that I was photographing Cole’s newborn portraits – and here we are at his cake smash birthday session!  Doesn’t he have the best blue eyes?! Gorgeous!  After the cake smash we called in the clean up crew. Maple is the best big sister ever!

Nicholas | Ancaster Child Photographer

Nicholas is two! We captured his birthday portraits a day before his birthday. After seven portrait sessions this little guys is a professional!  And we finally got an image of Isabella and Nicholas together!

Hunter | Niagara Child Photographer

This little Tom Sawyer just happens to be my nephew. (How lucky am I?!) It was one of those last minute shoots where everything just fell into place. The location, the outfit, the theme – all on the fly. I love photographing my niece and nephews because I get 100% complete creative freedom! This “fishing” scene is something we were talking about back in March and again briefly before this session. So when Hunter asked if he could go fishing we were ALL over that! He had fun and was completely co-operative. WIN WIN!
He loved his suspenders. And somehow never learnt that snapping them on himself hurts, quite entertaining.
This handsome little gaffer. I know I’m his Aunt but I think he’s pretty darn adorable!  As much as I love every other photograph from this session, this one is my favourite. SO HUNTER!  Every year I take a photograph with my niece and nephews in the same pose. It’s great to look back on every year and see how they’ve grown.  I love these three with all of my heart!  My favourite portraits are the natural ones. The one on the right completely represent them at this age.

Cole | Niagara Child Photographer

Cole gets more adorable every time that I see him. He was so good for his 9 month portraits! We got so many smiles, and this time – no grandma required!  Those eyes!  I had to post Cole’s adorable little faces. I can’t wait to photograph his birthday portraits in a couple of months!

Cole | Niagara Child Photographer

Cole was in the studio for his 4 month portraits a few weeks ago as part of his first year package. He was FULL of smiles, especially when Grandma showed up!
He’s got the cutest little smirk!  What a difference a couple of months makes!
See you in July little guy!

Henry | Niagara Child Photographer

I captured Henry’s newborn portraits when we was 11 weeks old. He was in the NICU for the first weeks of his life, but he’s sure made up for it quickly! Now Henry is ONE! And is pretty much the happiest little guy ever. He had so many smiles during his session!   There is something I just LOVE about a serious face and a black and white. Red hair and green eyes, isn’t he perfect?!

When I met him at 11 weeks he had doubled his birth weight! We captured some special portraits to document his time in the NICU. When we photographed Henry’s birthday portraits his mom had something special planned and it turned out perfect!
