Isabella was in the studio recently to celebrate her SECOND birthday! I can’t believe she is two already. It seems like yesterday that I was photographing her newborn portraits. I tried something a little different with this session, I’d love to hear what you think! Isabella is a beautiful little girl, look at that smile!
No birthday is complete without balloons!! That little belly, I love this silhouette of Isabella.
Parker was my second Birthday session last week. For a sick babe with some serious jet jag he did great! We got a lot of serious shot, but we also managed to get some of his gorgeous smile! I secretly love the serious ones better.. shhhhh… don’t tell mom! hehehe look at him though! I’m a sucker for eyelash shots. There’s the smile that everyone loves! So handsome! And that outfit?! Good choice mom! Lets just say.. Parker did not enjoy his cake smash. And I do not feel guilty about capturing this photograph.
Ava is one and she celebrated with portraits and a cake smash! And by she I mean her mom and dad, because really.. Ava had no idea what was going on but she did know that she wasn’t a fan of it. I got quite a few evil eyes from her throughout the session but they were so cute I forgave her ;) The lighting wasn’t the greatest but I couldn’t pass up a portrait in front of the beautiful sunflowers! How adorable does Ava look in this tutu?!
heheh, baby belly buttons. Gorgeous setup for Ava’s cake smash. I love when ideas come together! This is exactly what mom and I had in mind during our pre-consultation! The many faces of Ava. Throughout the sessions Ava was KILLING me with her hilarious faces. Editing her portraits was definitely amusing, bottom right takes the cake though, I think she had enough cake!
One year has come to a close. I’m always at a lose when it comes to talking about the last session in my Baby’s First Year package. It’s bittersweet, I love watching my little clients grow and reach new milestones! After each session with Isabella I didn’t think she could get any more adorable – but she did! – her smiles is so contagious! Dad was able to make it to Isabella’s last session and she had nothing but smiles for him – usually she’s VERY serious.
I’m a sucker for those big brown eyes! Isabella’s realization that she could eat the cake was hilarious. She kept looking at her parents to see if they were going to say anything – while simultaneously shoving handfuls of cake in her mouth. I love these two photographs, just completely covered in cake. So much fun!!
On this beautiful Thanksgiving morning I met with Eastyn and her mom to capture her first birthday portraits. Eastyn is such a sweetie, so happy to be one! In reality she probably has no idea what’s going on, but she loved being the centre of attention! Mom brought along this great chalkboard that a friend of hers made, and I am in LOVE with it. So great!! Kisses and Peek-a-Boo, heheh. These moments are the sweetest, I love them. Mommy daughter moments are my favourite to capture.
Miss Niamh (pronounced Neve) is almost one! We held the session at Niamh’s grandparents farm in Beamsville. Surrounded by a vineyard, an orchard and Irish accents, I can honestly say it was such a pleasure to photograph Niamh and her family. With Niamh’s grandparents visiting from Ireland, it was a great opportunity to capture portraits with both set of Grandparents for Niamh’s first birthday.
The dog’s wanted to be part of the portrait session too, photo bombing every chance they got. But that’s okay, because by the end of the session I was in love with these rescued Vizsla’s (they’re Hungarian hunting dogs, so I felt a connection to them HA!)
I’ve had “You’ve got the cutest little baby face, there isn’t another one to take your place.” on repeat in my head since I photographed Niamh. Her grandparents sang it repeatedly to make her smile, whatever works!I am in LOVE with the family portrait, it really doesn’t get much more natural then this.
After the session I was invited to stay for tea and cheese – who can say no to that?! Especially when it involved loose tea and actual tea cups! Afterwards Niamh, her mom and I snuck out to take a few more photographs which turned out to be my favourites from the session!
In just a few short weeks Ashton will be turning one, I can’t believe it has been a year since I captured her newborn portraits. I was so happy that she came back to capture her one year milestone. It’s the best feeling watching these little ones grow!
Ashton’s mom and I worked together to come up with a these and colour scheme for the portraits – based around Ashton’s homemade dress! After a 5 hour newborn session, Ashton decided to go easy on me and was all smiles for last weeks session! HOW CUTE IS SHE?! I can’t get over it!
Ordinarily I narrow the images down to twenty great portraits to show my clients. However after staring at these images for an hour I decided I couldn’t bare to get rid of anymore so the total stayed at thirty-five. I couldn’t wait to show her parents! Ashton’s Birthday Party is a Teddy Bear Tea Party theme, so of course we had to include them in her portraits! Welcome to Ashton’s cake smash! This girl didn’t like the sugary icing or being messy! So sweet! Ashton’s bib was made by her mom – how cute is that! Check out emm bee xoxo for more information on these great handmade bibs! Happy Birthday sweet girl!
I’m at a loss for what to say about these beautiful photos.
It has been such a pleasure watching Allie grow this past year. I first photographed her when she was only 6 days old! Her parents were so sweet to have thought of me to document the beginning of their new baby’s life.
Now a year and four photo shoots later; Allie is celebrating her 1st birthday. We had so much fun with a pink and white themed birthday portrait session. This girls smile can light up anyone’s world!
I hope you enjoy watching Allie grow through her portraits as much as I have!
