Mr&Mrs. Cleveland | Niagara Wedding Photographer

On a very rainy September day I arrived at the Buffalo Canoe Club (with my wonderful Second Shooter Vicki) to photograph Shelby and Randy’s special day. It was pouring for most of the morning, but these two dealt with it in their own way, with a little bit of humour! I’m not sure I’ve laughed so much with a Bride and Groom. By the time we were ready to do their First Look (my favourite! Randy’s reaction was priceless!) the rain had miraculously stopped. It drizzled a little during the outdoor ceremony and held off during family and wedding party portraits. After all was said and done and the guests were making their way out to the reception it began to pour – a little comical, we all got soaked, but as a photographer I’ll take it!

Throughout the entire process; the pre-consultation meeting, engagement portraits, the final scheduling meeting and throughout the day, it became more and more obvious that these two were made for each other. Frequently when photographing the Bride, Groom and their Wedding Party I will say “Now everyone look at the couple.” never once have I had a bride and groom – simultaneously – look down at themselves. They had us all in stitches for the entire day. And I am so thankful that they didn’t let the rain get them down!

“We were very happy that we chose Liz to photograph our wedding. She was very organized, thorough, and professional, and was able to capture all the details of our wedding for us to remember for years to come. Liz took the time to meet with us and listen to what we were looking for, and it resulted in very natural looking, professional photos. We also loved how quickly she had the photos edited and back to us after the wedding, and the sneak peaks were so nice to see the day after our wedding! Many of our family and friends have complemented how well our pictures turned out. We would not hesitate to recommend Liz to anyone that is looking to have their special moments captured.”

Thank you so much Shelby&Randy for choosing Vicki and I to be part of your day. In a world of many professional, and not so professional photographers, I truly appreciate every Bride and Groom that allows and trusts me to be part of their once in a life time day.

Dan&Danielle | Niagara Engagement Photographer

Meet Dan and Danielle (Yes, yes, they know! Daniel and Danielle. Ha Ha.) Or as I affectionately like to call them, Dan² (Dan-Squared).

Danielle and Dan met exactly two years before their engagement session. Dan was born in Poland. He speaks Polish and plays the accordion – an instant hit with Danielle’s mom. Not to mention he is caring, funny and cleans up after himself, everything you want in a man. (Plus.. wait until you see the ring!) Danielle could not have found anyone more perfect for her. The more time I spend with them, the more I see how perfect they are for each other.

I was honoured when they asked me to photograph their wedding and I’m so excited! I’ve gotten to know Dan² over the past few years, but over the last few months I’ve gotten to spend a lot more time with them. We get along really well, mostly because they get my sense of humour. I would be more than happy to one day add these two to my family. liz_czinege_photography_niagara_hamilton_engagement_wedding08liz_czinege_photography_niagara_hamilton_engagement_wedding09How beautiful are their babies going to be – I can’t wait to become an (almost) Aunt again!
liz_czinege_photography_niagara_hamilton_engagement_wedding10You’ll see these two again when I photograph their October wedding, it’s going to be a fun day! I honestly can not wait to see these two get married!

NEW Engagement & Wedding Website!

Last year I took down the Wedding & Engagement photography from my website, so I could bring the focus to my Newborn and Child photography. After doing so I kept receiving the same question “Do you photograph weddings?” I am still photographing weddings – and I love it! So after much consideration I decided to create a website solely for my Engagement & Wedding photography.

Screen Shot 2014-05-01 at 5.19.35 PM

This new website has the familiar, easy to navigate format as my original site, so looking though my portfolio is simple. I have also added my 2014 Pricing PDF to the website. This downloadable PDF has information on my packages, pricing and what to expect.

I’m looking forward to photographing my 2014 couples and I can’t wait meet the great couples that 2015 has in store!

Tara&Seth | Niagara Engagement Photographer

Last Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing Tara and Seth in Stevensville.

These two have been together for three years. From the time I’ve spent with them I can tell that they are great together, and are wonderful parents to their massive furry baby! And although I’m sure Seth loathed me for making him pose in front of the camera, I love the way their portraits turned out.

liz czinege niagara hamilton engagement photographer_1 The photography gods have been on my side lately!  It had been cold and rainy all day but it stopped a few minutes before our session – and the sun even came out! Tara&Derek | Niagara Wedding Photographer

On a mild November day, I photographed Tara&Derek’s wedding with my close friend and fellow photographer Vicki Rivers.

I arrived at the Tara’s sisters house in the morning and was greeted by the usual pre-wedding chaos; hair spray flying and Christmas music playing ( November??!) So escaped upstairs for a few minutes to get some detail shots.

During our pre-wedding consultations Tara asked me to capture this special photo of her niece.

Tara&Derek-21 LCP

Tara’s mother passed away when she was young, and subsequently Tara and her sister, Kelly, grew up very close. It was just the two sisters in the room while she was getting dressed, it was a sweet moment. Kelly’s hands shook while she was doing up her sisters dress, nerves&excitement that you would expect from the mother of the bride.

When I met with Tara before the wedding, I could tell how much she loved her three beautiful Sheltie’s. She brought the dogs to her sisters house so I could capture a few photos of her babies on her wedding day. A lot of Brides I’ve photographed worry about their dress getting dirty or ripped throughout the day, but not Tara, she let her dogs to sit on her dress – what a trooper!

After photographing the guys in the morning, Vicki met up with me at the church. While waiting at the church Tara told us about how much Derek loves hockey and her surprise for him – a hockey glove, instead of a pillow, for the ring barrier to walk up the aisle with!

Throughout the day Tara&Derek had photos and little reminders of their relatives who had passed away so they could be there in spirit to share the day. After much laughing – and spilt sand – Tara&Derek’s unity sand was complete.

We did the formal photos at Oak Hall in Niagara Falls, a great venue! [I’m a sucker for old buildings!]

Kerri&Ryan | 09/29/12

Last spring I had a lot of fun taking Kerri&Ryan’s engagement photos at Point Abino. As we talked about their wedding plans, I grew even more excited to capture their wedding.

It was a beautiful, warm September day when I arrived at the Bride’s house. Kerri chose to have two of her four younger sisters to help her dressed. Even with the chaos that comes with eight girls getting ready, it proved to be an intimate moment for the three sisters. A moment that they had imagined and rehearsed countless times growing up.

Before the ceremony we stopped at HH Knoll Park to take some photos of the beautiful Dyson family.
Each bridesmaid wore a different colour dress with a matching hairpiece and ribbon on their bouquet. This was such a great idea, as it made for unique photos!

The ceremony took place in Kerri’s childhood church. After the “I do’s” were exchanged, Kerri’s Grandad bagpiped the newlyweds out of the church – it was a very special moment!

I had a lot of fun with this wedding party – they were great fun! Kerri&Ryan

Such a gorgeous bride! Kerri&Ryan

Photographing my best friend’s sister was a great experience, but on top of that I got the opportunity to see (and photograph!) inside of a house I’ve always been curious about.  As a photographer, I am always thinking to myself “I’d love to photograph there.” Sometimes your dreams come true, and I couldn’t think of a better location to photograph Kerri&Ryan!

I had some fun with this shot, I’m so in love with historic houses!

Kerri&RyanCandy by Katie supplied the candy and decorated the table at the reception. Of course it was a huge hit, when you’re presented with a table filled with candy you can’t help but let your inner child loose! There was a little something for everyone. Kerri&Ryan Montage - CandyKerri&Ryan

I love the wedding party in the background of the first dance. Kerri&RyanFor me, and I’m sure for many of the guests, this was one of the most memorable moments of the day. When Kerri invited her sisters to join her for the Father Daughter dance I don’t think that there was a dry eye in the room.

Behind the Scenes

In November I had the pleasure of photographing Tara&Derek’s wedding with my good friend Vicki Rivers. Throughout the day she snapped a few photos of me, so I thought I would share!

Behind the Scenes

Any photographer knows, when it comes to weddings we’re not just a photographer, we’re the boutonniere pinner, the dress carrier, the make-up fixer and the crisis adverter if need be!

This couple was so adorable, I couldn’t help but smile while taking their photos! They’re so in love!Behind the ScenesBehind the ScenesBehind the ScenesBreaking the rules in the name of a great photo. Behind the ScenesWhen it comes to my photographs I try not to pick favourites, but this one turned out to be a favourite from the day.. shhh!Behind the Scenes

Here are the photos I was taking, I look forward to sharing Tara&Derek’s story with you very soon!

June 2012
While we were driving between locations Jessy told me about Kyle and herself. The story gave me goosebumps!

They met at curling when they were 15 years old. Jessy told me she knew right away that she liked him because “He was the first guy that I was every shy around, and I’m not a shy person!” A few months later Kyle asked Jessy to be his girlfriend in a game of hangman, love it!

The story of the proposal is always my favourite part of the engagement sessions.
Kyle had been waiting in Jessy’s dark bedroom for her to get home from work. Jessy’s brother was out of the house, and he’d snuck into their house and worked out his game plan. Finally his plan was in place; he’d thrown a sock in the entrance way and boxers on the stairs, along with various other items of clothing. He’d made a trail for Jessy to follow, up the stairs and into the bedroom where he was waiting on one knee. He heard the key turn in the door.

After a long day at work Jessy wanted nothing more then a hot bubble bath. She got home and started talking to her cats, in a way that any cat lover would talk to their “children”. But her loving talk quickly turned into anger when she found the clothes thrown away. She thought it was her cats that had gotten into the laundry and thrown the clothes around. She walked upstairs in the dark, not bothering to turn any lights on. When she went into her room and found a man in the dark she screamed and ran into the hallway. It took her a few minutes to realize that it was Kyle, at which point she screamed “He’s on one knee!” and the rest is history!

After their engagement they moved to Alberta but are coming back to the Niagara Region to get married. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in October 2013!

I met my best friend Carlie 17 years ago, growing up together I got to know her sister Kerri. She was like the sister I never had. I was so happy when I learnt that she got engaged to Ryan. When Kerri asked me to do her engagement photos and photograph her wedding in September I was so excited!

In May, we had the special opportunity to go beyond the gates of Point Abino and photograph on one of the estates, it is such a beautiful community. I love the photos that I captured of these two, they’re so in love!

Serena&Luke|Destination Wedding

Two years ago, November, 2010, my cousin Serena, asked me if I would take her engagement photos. Of course I said yes! I was still attending college at the time and this was to be my first ever engagement session, I was so excited!

A few months later she asked if I would be the photographer for her destination wedding in Jamaica! Of course I said yes; I get to photograph my cousin on her big day and spend a week in the sun surrounded by family, who could say no??

The day finally came and Serena&Luke, accompanied by 45 guests, arrived at Gran Bahia Principe Resort in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. The weather that week could not have been better; hot and sunny! The resort was gorgeous, but some might argue that more importantly, it had thee best Jerk Chicken!

During the week I had the chance to get to know Luke and his family a little better.  Luke is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met; polite, well raised. (Is that still something people say?). His parents are incredibly kind, my cousin is a very lucky girl.

I couldn’t wait to photograph Serena and Luke. Every where they went the Jamaicans called them colouring books because of the amount of tattoos they have. I knew that these were not going to be your typical photos, I couldn’t wait to get some unique shots!  The day of the wedding we woke up to a cloudy sky, but by 4pm the sky was clear and it was a perfect day for a wedding. A beautiful day with beautiful people.

The maids decorated the room for the occasion. It was gorgeous, flowers completely covered the bed.

I was able to slip away from the girls for a few minutes while they are getting dressed to spend time with the guys before the wedding. I love how casual these photos turned out, the guys were so laid-back!

Serena was such a beautiful bride! At 4pm, Serena and her father began walking down the aisle.

In keeping with the Jamaican spirit, when asked if he took Serena to be his wife, Luke responded with “Ya Mon!”

It was pretty windy at the gazebo by the ocean, but it kept the guests cool!

The Ceremony was short and sweet, the Bride and Groom walked down the aisle and the champaign was popped!

I love this photo of Luke and his Mom.

Serena and Luke accompanied by their guests.

I love this photo, Serena&Luke are a gorgeous couple.

It was a little hectic and we tried to get all of the photos before we ran out of light, but the setting sun was so pretty!

I saved the best for last! This was the last photo I took that day, and it turned out to be my favourite!

I am so honoured that I got the opportunity to be part of Serena&Luke’s big day!
