On one of the hottest days of the summer I had the honour of photographing this gorgeous family. Thanks for sticking it out in the heat and being so patient! Little Jessa took 45 minutes to warm up to me and wanted NOTHING to do with the session. Which made for some real adorable pouty faces. The sweetest siblings! These candid photographs are my favourite! Doing anything to get Jessa engaged in the session. Jessa’s little hands, so adorable! I had a lot of fun with you guys. Thanks for not judging me while I made a fool of my self trying to win Jessa over!
Once again I have had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family this time with one more addition, little Rosalie! The original six Simpsons. A sibling portrait.
Love all these photographs of the kids, they really show their individual personalities! Such a little man, so handsome! Incase you were wondering what he was holding. Boys will be boys! This guy did not want me to take his photograph so I had to sneak a couple in. He was also stung THREE times during the session and was such a trooper. I couldn’t believe it, he did amazing! Julia, the star of Jewels for Jules, always so happy. Her smile is so contagious, I just love her to bits! The best little sister around.
Family farm, barn, field, storm clouds, boots and HORSES – this session was a dream!
I’ve known the Richard’s since high school when Shelby and I became friends. This is th second time I’ve photographed them – a gift for Dad! – and it’s always a pleasure. I mean c’mon, look how gorgeous this family is! We just beat the rain by a couple of minutes, it made for the perfect sky and lighting. Everyone wants a beautiful clear blue sky on photo day, but in reality an overcast day is the best kind of day. No squinting, no shadows, perfect! When Dad mentioned including the Draft Horses I was all for it! Aren’t they beautiful?!??
I’m a little lot late posting this. Last month I had the pleasure of photographing this family. The daughter’s got together and purchased this portrait session as a gift for their mother. (A GREAT idea for those hard to buy for parents!) I knew the session was going to be great from the first contact I had with Mom – “I’ll have the coffee ready.” She knows the way to my heart! It was one of the hottest days of the summer, but they were all troopers and put up with my shenanigans, even the littlest two! Afterwards they invited me to stay for the most delicious dessert ever. I had a lot of laughs with these guys! How adorable is this image of the girls with their Auntie. So natural, I love it!
The ladies of the family. Always gotten sneak in a couple of Mom and Dad! I love a classic black and white. Thank you so much for putting up with me all day!
I’m going to take a moment here to thank all of the families that came out to my mini sessions and to the families coming to my “rain date” day! It is truly your support that allows me to do what I love every day, and I whole heartedly thank you. It makes me so happy to provide you with photographs that you will cherish for a lifetime.
Now scroll down and look as some adorable faces!
Maximus loves his little brother so much, we had to ask him to stop kissing Simon so we could get a few photographs of his face. Occasionally, a family just fits the lifestyle, go with the flow, session and this was definitely one of them! As much as this is not a “great” photograph, I’m so in love with it. Nora’s got her grumpy, contemplating life face. Charlie is comforting his little brother. Ahhh, so sweet. I love that Mom loves these images as much as I do because “It’s just us!” THESE are the real moments, not the pose ones, these are the ones you’ll want to remember. I love those lashes! At the end of the session, this little one cuddled into Dad and it was the sweetest moment, I had to capture a portrait.
This was the second time I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this growing family. Last Sunday the location was GORGEOUS and the weather was perfect for family portraits. 17 degrees in November? We’ll take it!
Miss Addy is a bit of a wild child, like every two year old. But I love the expressions we got from her. She’s the sweetest little girl! Kisses for her little brother, so sweet and gentle. So much fun. I love Mom and Brock in the foreground. Capturing ‘in between’ moments like this is my favourite. Just 100% completely natural. How perfect are Brock’s eyes?! I’m obsessed! I can’t wait to photograph this family again!
This was my second session at this location in two weeks and it hasn’t gotten old yet! The colours were GORGEOUS and of course this family too. Kyle took a lot of convincing to get these photographs but it was definitely worth it, we got some great ones for this family! Sad to happy in 2.6 seconds with the help of some bubbles. This little guy has the coolest eyes! Normally I’m not into “Hey lets throw some leaves for a photo” but when the 2 year old is pretty much over the session, I’m willing to do anything. Plus. HOW CUTE IS THIS PHOTOGRAPH!
The Walkers were one of the lucky winners from my 12 Days of Giveaways last year. We lucked out on the weather – warm, overcast and the trees were PERFECT! These two chose the perfect location for their family portraits. The little miss didn’t want to be photographed, but few kids can resist my natural charm and hilarious personality. (Kidding! Well.. kinda, kids really can’t help but love me for some reason!) I love these fun natural shots with Mom and Dad. Miss Giggles, way too cute! Ah, fall is fading too quickly. I can’t get enough of the beautiful colours.
I was so happy when Stephanie contacted me about booking a session for her grandparent’s 60th anniversary gift. Photographs make a great keepsake and there is no better time than the present!
4 generations of Brims, love this portrait! This is the goal, 60 years of marriage and you can still see the love in their eyes. While I was photographing the two of them they were cracking jokes about holding hands and cuddling up, my kinda people. Too sweet. These 5 have moved back to Canada after years of teaching in Malaysia. Their families could not be happier.
Sometimes in order to get a family portrait you have to play ball with the kids in between shots – and for a while after the shoot is over. So worth it! I’m in love with the hair on these two, so perfect! These two happy boys and Wou in the background. Makes my chuckle.
This family was one of the lucky winners of my 12 Days of Christmas giveaways. From our pre-consultation I knew that this session was going to be great! Mom did a great job coordinating outfits and regardless of how cold and windy it was the kids did AMAZING. Doing exactly what I asked without and “no’s” or complaints. I can’t not say enough about this family, they were picture perfect and so easy to pose! Typical boy. Hehehe. This photograph makes me laugh. Cozying up in a blanket. (It was so cold and windy!) I love this family! Had to sneak a few of mom and dad of course! Seriously, this kids though. So beautiful, or handsome in Austin’s case. Mia looked so cute standing by the fence, I couldn’t resist a few extra shots of her. So dainty and petite. Guh. ADORABLE!
I hope I get the chance to photograph this family again in the future.
