Is anyone else wondering if Spring will ever come? The groundhog told us six more weeks of winter, which means that this cold, dreary time should be coming to an end soon. But as I sit here in my bulky sweater and wool socks I can’t help but wonder when.
I long to walk outside and not have profanities spill from my mouth involuntarily due to the bitter cold. (C’mon, we both know you do it too.) And I can not wait for the orchards to start to bloom. When that happens I will definitely be taking the back roads from Hamilton to Niagara – windows down, radio blasting some country tunes. Ahhhh..
As a natural light photographer (and a country girl), I much prefer photographing outdoors over a studio. There’s just something about photographing families and children outdoors that appeals to me. Maybe it’s the ability to play with the light, or the fresh air, or the open spaces – whatever it is, I sit here writing this with a twinge of excitement because soon I will be out there doing what I love, surrounded by so much beauty and beautiful people.
Those little toes, don’t you just want to eat them up.
(Side note: that is such a strange saying!)
I photographed Alexis’ parents wedding in November of 2012. In November of 2013 I photographed their maternity portraits. Over the past year Tara and I have become close (I love when clients become friends!) I couldn’t wait to photograph this little one – she made us all wait an extra 9 days before she made her grand entrance ...and after 37 hours of labour with no epidural, this mama is a hero!
Tara and Derek are huge Ottawa Senators fans, so we had to take this one in Daddy’s catcher. Mommy brought in this custom tutu from Picture Perfect Props by Mich. I’m in love with this image, so simple and sweet. This little girl is going to be VERY well protected! “Don’t mess with our little sister.”
I have to do a throwback to this photograph on Tara and Derek’s wedding day!
I love Tara’s laid back attitude towards life, I honestly wish I was more like her!
Dogs on her wedding dress? No big deal. Taking Miss Alexis to her Daddy’s hockey games before she is two weeks old. Yep, that happened!
Mommy shared this photograph on Facebook with the following caption;
“Please note the post baby belly…hey new Moms – you just did the most INCREDIBLE thing you will ever do in your life. You are beautiful….so OWN that post baby body!!!!!!!!!!!”
There need to be more women in the world who realize this. Society has warped our view of what is real and what is beautiful. I adore this little family, I can’t wait to watch Alexis grow.
Pregnancy is a beautiful time in a woman’s life, accordingly maternity portraits should be captured in a humble and beautiful way. Liz Czinege Photography photographs maternity portraits in a beautiful and natural way, making moms look and feel wonderful.
The experience begins with professional hair and make-up, complimentary with every maternity session. Moms can use this as an excuse to take some ‘me’ time and spoil themselves. Liz poses women in a way that compliments their individual bodies, so there is no need to worry about looking awkward. (If you are still worried, read my blog Maternity Misconceptions.)
All babies are born pure and natural, and that is how they should be photographed. Liz prides herself on capturing timeless photographs. A newborn session with Liz is a calm and laid-back experience. Liz handles babies with the utmost care while guiding them into those sweet newborn poses.
Individually, each session is an investment of two hundred dollars. However as a special gift to moms who wish to pamper themselves, Liz offers a one hundred and twenty-five dollar credit to use towards Maternity Portraits when parents book Newborn Portraits.
