When Morgan’s mom booked me for newborn portraits she still had two weeks to go before she met her little girl, so imagine my surprise when she messaged me the next day to let me know that she was in labour! This change of plans forced us to have our pre-consultation in between contractions – that’s a new one for me.
On the morning of our session I made my way to Sherkston. I took the backroads which I quickly realized was the right decision when my car started to fill with the smell of wood burning stoves. (Did I mention I love the country??) It was a gorgeous drive; huge fluffy flakes were falling, the ground was covered in fresh snow.
When I arrived at their house – to a freshly shovelled driveway, thanks dad! – I was in the best mood, not to be ruined by Morgan, who was perfect. She made my job so easy – slept like a..baby?.. the entire session!
How proud are these parents, Morgan is so loved!
Look how long her fingers are!Morgan may, or may not have peed in this antique bowl, but shhhhhh Grandma doesn’t need to know!I am so honoured that I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful little girl, she’s just perfect!
