I would like to take a second to thank all of you who took the time to vote for your favourite costume. It was a close contest, but the winner is Miss Khloe!
Looking at the photos you’d never be able to tell that this little one didn’t want to be photographed. And she was no doubt a very cold girl! But the photos turned out great, Khloe is by far the cutest Snow White in all the land!
Here are a few more of my favourites from my session with Khloe.
A few weeks ago I photographed this lovely family.
They chose to do the session in their parents backyard. It was their childhood home and holds memories for all of the siblings, so what better place to take photos of their growing family. It was a bit chilly, but I’m happy that they were willing to brave the cold in the name of great photos! I love the way these turned out!
I’ve photographed this family quite a few times over the last year, it’s always a pleasure!
I love this photo, Grandma was looking at her grandbaby. There’s no better way to get a natural smile!
It’s time for my first ever Halloween Costume Contest!
Below are photos that I took during my Halloween Mini-Sessions, look through them and pick your favourite costume. When you’ve decided, leave a comment at the bottom of the post indicating which child you would like to vote for. The winner will receive a free 8×10 from the session. ((Only vote per person please! Contest ends October 26th.))

Lady Bug ((Julia))
The Hulk ((Faith)) Captain America ((Damon)) Evil Witch ((Matthias)) Tiger ((Eliza))
These photos may be my favourite newborn photos to date. (Shhhh!!) Just wait until you scroll down, your heart is going to melt!
I spoke with Jo-Anna a few times before the baby was born and like any new mom-to-be I could tell how excited she was about having her first baby and getting newborn photos done. After spending a few hours with them I could see how much love they already have for this little guy! And with plenty of nieces and nephews to practice on, I’m sure these two are going to make wonderful parents!
Congrats you guys! I am in love with this little guy’s cowboy boots!
A few weeks ago I photographed my brother and sister-in-law. Growing up Laura was like the sister I never had and it’s safe to say I can’t imagine my life without her. But really, when they started dating I was 18 months old, I actually can’t remember my life without her, but I wouldn’t want it any other way!
This is the part where I should talk about the wedding, and how nice it was to see my brother marry his high school sweetheart. But I can’t tell you that story, because I wasn’t there, no one was, except the maid-of-honor&best man. To this day I actually have no idea who’s names are on their wedding certificate, or when their anniversary is. But I love them all the same.
I’m so happy that we finally got a chance to do photos, I hope you guys have many more years of love&happiness.
I’ve photographed this family a few times and it’s always a pleasure! I’m happy that I had the opportunity to photograph their adorable baby!
She is the sweetest little girl, and she slept the entire time.. she made my job so easy!
A few months ago I made newborn headbands, I’m so happy with the way they turned out. Theresa asked my to use this basket, I love when parents have special items that they want incorporated into the photos.
While we were driving between locations Jessy told me about Kyle and herself. The story gave me goosebumps!
They met at curling when they were 15 years old. Jessy told me she knew right away that she liked him because “He was the first guy that I was every shy around, and I’m not a shy person!” A few months later Kyle asked Jessy to be his girlfriend in a game of hangman, love it!
The story of the proposal is always my favourite part of the engagement sessions. Kyle had been waiting in Jessy’s dark bedroom for her to get home from work. Jessy’s brother was out of the house, and he’d snuck into their house and worked out his game plan. Finally his plan was in place; he’d thrown a sock in the entrance way and boxers on the stairs, along with various other items of clothing. He’d made a trail for Jessy to follow, up the stairs and into the bedroom where he was waiting on one knee. He heard the key turn in the door.
After a long day at work Jessy wanted nothing more then a hot bubble bath. She got home and started talking to her cats, in a way that any cat lover would talk to their “children”. But her loving talk quickly turned into anger when she found the clothes thrown away. She thought it was her cats that had gotten into the laundry and thrown the clothes around. She walked upstairs in the dark, not bothering to turn any lights on. When she went into her room and found a man in the dark she screamed and ran into the hallway. It took her a few minutes to realize that it was Kyle, at which point she screamed “He’s on one knee!” and the rest is history!
After their engagement they moved to Alberta but are coming back to the Niagara Region to get married. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in October 2013!
In May I photographed my niece and nephew. Sometimes it seems that family is harder to photograph then clients, but on this day they were being co-operative. I may be bias but I think they’re pretty darn cute!
I love the capturing kids being kids!
((I can’t believe how much they’ve changed in 5 months, they’re growing up too quick!))
Welcome Baby Julia! (I post the story of Katie&Dave here.)
How sweet is this little girl, I just love her! And her hair, amazing! Katie got the redhead girl she always wanted (..and on the first try!)
You’re such a sweet little family, congratulations on your beautiful little girl!
November 2011 (A little late I know.!)
I’ve known Katie for a few years now. When we worked together at Sherkston Shores, she talked of Dave and their dog Shelley frequently. I remember her telling me the story of how she and Dave met (and her subsequently moving across the world to be with him), it gave me goosebumps.
They’d been together forever it seemed, so when she came into work and said “Guess what!” I immediately thought that she was pregnant, but all things in good time. Dave had proposed (such a cute proposal too, love his style!), they got married in Australia and a few months later she told me that she was pregnant, a girl, so exciting! She always wanted a little red -haired girl named Julia!
These two are the sweetest people you will ever meet, and will undoubtedly make amazing parents! Congrats you two!
